Nvidia GeForce RTX 20: Gamescom's first big reveal

With its new GeForce RTX 20 range, Nvidia intends to revolutionize (once again) graphics in video games. While the capabilities of these graphics cards will adapt perfectly to virtual reality, any gamer would be delighted to have one. Three models are announced : the RTX 2070 (8Gb of RAM) first, then the 2080 and 2080 Ti (11Gb of RAM). Each will be available from September 20, for a price far from modest. Indeed, they will be worth respectively 639, 849 and 1259 euros. If the performance of a machine is essential for some, it is clear that the new Nvidia graphics cards will not be within the reach of everyone.

What sets these machines apart the most from their predecessors is a new architecture: the Turing. This uses the “ray-tracing”, a calculation technique offering a particularly impressive rendering. In particular, it will enable Nvidia products to offer light effects very close to reality. During its conference at Gamescom 2018, the company had no shortage of demonstrations to offer to the public. Several games were thus put forward, each obviously compatible with future graphics cards. , and everyone benefits from photo-realistic light effects. If you're a seasoned gamer and don't mind reaching for your pocket, the GeForce RTX 20 series should be for you.
