Strike Vector, marriage of a French game and virtual reality

Summary

Strike Vector, an online action game, will be compatible with the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset!

The games still continue to offer compatibility with the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset. And the Steam platform is full of more and more of these games thanks to the “Greenlight” section which allows independent developers to offer their future coded games in their garage. And today we are going to talk about a game created by the French of Strike Vector Team. Once again, Unreal Engine 3 was used for the creation of this game, which again allows us to consider new compatibilities with the virtual reality headset.

What does this promising game offer? Strike Vector will be a multiplayer game where you will control a futuristic ship and face human opponents. Like the Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament games, you will have to demonstrate skills (technicality) to eliminate your opponents. We can fight in team or solo like any good action game and we will have a wide choice of ships with different characteristics. There will be several ways to move with these ships which will allow you to adapt your behavior to the situation (and why not reverse it if it is disadvantageous). How will the Oculus Rift be useful for this kind of games? The immersion. As the virtual reality headset offers, it will be important to feel inside the game as sometimes it is difficult to see all the details of the action. For example, if a ship comes a little far, having relief can help the player's vision and why not help the team by seeing all the details that we could not see otherwise.

At the moment, the game has not yet been released and is not fully compatible with the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset. They did announce, however, that they were anxiously awaiting the development kit they ordered. We can therefore hope for a quick compatibility as their project is progressing very well and they seem very motivated. It is true that by watching the video of the game's trailer, we can hope for an excellent online action game that will remind us of the nuggets we had at the time: Unreal Tournament and Quake 3. We look forward to the release. exit from the game (or why not a beta) in order to get your hands on this French project which sends heavy! Do not hesitate to see the video of the game below to get an idea!
