Summary

Note that many of these games will also work on the first Oculus Quest headset.

Warhammer 40 000: Battle Sister

The license of Games Workshop, famous for its miniature games pitting gigantic armies against each other, is not the first time it has entered virtual reality. With Battle Sister, players take on the role of Battle Sister Ophelia in search of her twin. Attached to the emperor, this order of combatants is not to be taken lightly with their bolt pistols and flamethrowers. In first person view, the game will have you traveling through several environments and confronting Chaos Space Marines and other monstrosities. In addition to a campaign based on a solid story, the title will offer multiplayer games. Warhammer 40: Battle Sister is slated for release before the end of the year.

Jurassic World Aftermath

The adventure takes place two years after the fall of Jurassic World park on the island of Nublar. Players are sent on a mission to retrieve valuable information, the results of secret research. Except that, unsurprisingly, nothing goes as planned and the main character finds himself stuck in the middle of hungry dinosaurs. It would therefore be necessary to show discretion and ingenuity so as not to end up as raptors' food and to solve the various puzzles. No release date announced yet.

The Climb 2

The virtual reality climbing game developed by the Crytek studio returns with a new episode. Soberly titled The Climb 2, the title takes rock wall aficionados to a completely different setting. Thus, in addition to the cliffs, this time it will be possible to explore an entire city, and to climb to the top of buildings. To do this, players will use suction cups to facilitate the ascent of skyscrapers. The game is expected to be released later this year.

Assassin’s Creed et Splinter Cell VR

To the delight of VR fans, Ubisoft hasn't announced, or rather confirmed, just one game, but two. Indeed, their flagship licenses Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell will have the right to a version in virtual reality. In addition, these games will be original entries into these very different worlds. This avoids the pitfall of a shoddy remake, but easy to do and not costing a lot of money to produce. The information concerning these two titles is for the moment thin and one will have to wait again before having really interesting details.

Myst

This is not a new game. Myst will soon be celebrating her 30th birthday. On the other hand, it marked a generation of players with its spellbinding environments and complicated puzzles. The title therefore returns in 2020 in a remake version and in virtual reality. The dev team looks like they've done a good job of refreshing the graphics. In addition, the puzzles can be changed randomly to provide a new challenge for those who know the game by heart. Myst is slated for release later this year.

Arrivals on Oculus Quest

Sniper Elite VR

Announced for a while, Sniper Elite VR still created a surprise by announcing its compatibility on Oculus Quest. The game took the opportunity to unveil a video showing new phases of gameplay. Thus, players will not be forced to shoot down all enemy soldiers with sniper rifles, but will be able to use the entire arsenal of weapons present during World War II. On the other hand, still no concrete release date, but the eternal “soon”.
