The VOID announces the opening of 25 new VR rooms including one in Paris

Summary

If you are a fan of VR, you probably already know The VOID. This Utah-based company is developing “out-of-home” virtual reality experiences combining the latest VR headsets with multi-sensory stimulation and haptic feedback accessories for maximum immersion.

After creating a first adventure , the firm also carried out a horror experiment titled and partnered with Disney around attraction and excellence.

At the end of 2018, the company announced the upcoming launch of new productions based on the universe of Marvel superheroes. A partnership with Sony is also announced, even if we do not know what intellectual properties of the Japanese giant will be exploited for the moment ...

Undeniably, the experiences developed by The VOID represent the apotheosis of virtual reality today. The level of immersion offered remains unmatched to this day for the general public. Unfortunately, so far only the experience has been offered in Europe and only in London.

The VOID finally arrives in Europe following a partnership with URW

Good news: building on its success, The VOID announces the opening of 25 new VR centers as part of a partnership with the shopping center operator URW (Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield).

Firstly, four temporary “pop-up” centers will open between August and September 2019 at Westfield World Trade Center in New York, Westfield San Francisco Center, Westfield Santa Anita in Los Angeles and Westfield UTC in San Diego.

These ephemeral centers will then be replaced by permanent places, and other centers will open their doors in San Jose, Chicago, but also in Europe in the URW centers in Oberhausen, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Vienna, Amsterdam, London… and Paris !
