The Florida company has just concluded a new round table to develop its use of VR in edtech. La Series B in the amount of $ 21 million was led by Insight Venture Partners, joined by Accelerated Growth Partners, Cito Ventures, GSV Acceleration, Deborah Quazzo, Krillion Ventures and Reach Capital. With this new lift, rising its capital at $ 30,2 million, Nearpod wishes grow and continue to develop the VR part of its solution.


Nearpod has embarked on VR by betting that elementary and secondary school students will be seduced by a 3D VR experience to be discovered through basic headsets, similar to Google's Cardboard. Indeed, these are more than 4 million students who have tasted the joys of VR thanks to Nearpod's “virtual field trips”: from the planet Mars to the Colosseum, via the seabed, VR has captivated students.
